Pros and Cons of an IPod Wedding

An Ipod Wedding sounds like a no-brainer. Hit play, and the music is there, just like any wedding DJ, right?

I want you to be informed before making this decision.

Pros
Save Big Money
DJs in the state have a wide range of prices $600-1500+  Bands are double to triple those rates.

YOU are the Entertainment
You can select the songs that really mean something to you and your groom for your wedding – It is the ultimate personal touch

Complete Control
Let’s face it: We've all been to weddings where the DJ is the center of attention. NOT the way it should be. You do not have to worry about hearing the same old tired songs such as  the “Chicken Dance”, “Macarena”, or "Electric Slide" - unless YOU want to!

Cons
Manning the iPod
One of your wedding party or guests will have to keep an eye on the Ipod and the sound system. This can take away from the bliss of the day. If a guest has a request, you will have to change the song, unless you do not want to.

MC still needed
Because this is still a formal event with a catering staff and/or a venue, you or someone in your party will need to be the MC and organize the event timeline. That person will be responsible for calling people to dinner, make announcements, alerting everyone to when the bride and groom will cut the cake or when the bouquet will be tossed. This can be stressful, but if you are organized, and don't mind working a bit during your wedding day, this will be rewarding.
